FAQs

Frequently asked questions.

Hon. Harriette Chiggai, Kenya's President's Advisor on Women's Rights, founded the Foundation in 2026 as an independently governed institution.

Headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, with programming currently focused on Kakamega, Bungoma and Vihiga counties and a continental Africa mandate.

At least 20% is ring-fenced into the Harriette Chiggai Fund to build long-term financial independence; the remainder supports active programmes.

By a female-driven, diverse Board of Trustees with Investment, Programmes, and Audit & Risk committees.

Through the standard pathway: an exploratory meeting between our secretariats, followed by a Memorandum of Understanding defining the collaboration — a data partnership, a leadership-pipeline referral, or joint technical work.

Three delivery pillars — Economic Empowerment & Investment, Technology, and Education — plus the flagship Women, Peace & Security evidence platform, with delivery beginning once the Board is seated.

Give in a way that outlives the programme cycle.

Of every donation, at least 20% is ring-fenced into the Harriette Chiggai Fund — building long-term financial independence, not just a single programme cycle.
